    Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust was the second story of Season 36. It was written by Mark Gatiss, directed by Terry Windell and featured Paul McGann as the Doctor and Jennifer Lien as Sammy Thompson.

     Synopsis

    While having an adventure during Soviet Russia, the Doctor and Sammy stumble upon a very familiar looking woman. A woman who went by the name Katie Tollinger.

    She explains that an alien race, the Mitahi, reanimated her after her death. The Mitahi reproduce by altering the DNA of dead individuals, bringing them back to life.

    Katie escaped from them six years ago and has spent the rest of the time looking for the Doctor.
