The Master (known at times by various other aliases), was a renegade Time Lord, he was a friend of The Doctor before becoming a long standing opponent.

Though they had been friends from childhood, and longtime schoolmates at the Academy, The Master's lust for power would eventually pull the two apart. While The Doctor and The Master would sometimes remain close friends, The Master developed an intense hatred for, and offen sought to kill the Doctor, who came to regard The Master as his arch enemy. Despite this enmity, however the two maintained a grudging respect for the other, and would on occasion act as allies.

Biography

Early Life

The Master grew up on Gallifrey in the House Of Oakdown.

Academic Career

The Master And The First Doctor became friends on their first day at the academy. They enjoyed building Time Flow Analouges to disrupt each other’s experiments.

The Master developed a strong bond with The Doctor.

Hunger For Power

As he grew older The Master began to crave power, he wanted to be Lord President and rule over all of Gallifrey. He eventually gained Time Lord status and became a member of the High Council. He expressed his desires to The Doctor and became furious when he opposed him.

After The Doctor fled Gallifrey The Master feared he would stand in his way of total conquest, so he devised a scheme to get The Doctor out of the way so that he could conquer Gallifrey and then the universe.

During this period The Master regenerated many times before reaching his Tenth Incarnation.

The Master finnaly got his chance when the Second Doctor was forced to contact the Time Lords to help stop the War Lord. During the trial for the War Lord he listened as a Time Lord read out the crimes committed but assured everyon that the humans had been returned to their proper times. After The Doctor Read his statement and The War Lord attempted to defend his actions, The Master And The two other Time Lords sentenced him and erased him and his race from history.

The Master attended The Doctor's trial and learned of how he was willing to help others and fight evil. After this he and the other Time Lord allowed The Doctor to say goodbye to Jamie and Zoe.

After deciding The Doctor's fate The Master sentenced The Doctor to exile on Earth in the 20th Century And To forceful Regeneration.

Not long after this The Master attempted to overthrow the current Lord President, however this Plan failed and The Master decided to flee Gallifrey.

However as he did so The Master was shot and mortily wounded, however he managed to get away in his TARDIS before regenerating into his next incarnation.

Posing as The Doctor

Not long after regenerating The Master decided to travel into Gallifrey's future in an attempt to seize power. When he arrived he was shocked to discover that The Doctor now in his Eleventh incarnation was acting as Lord President. Realising that The Doctor would stand in his way, The Master began to secretly cause trouble and was eventually discovered by The Rogue. The Master once again fled Gallifrey. With the Rogue in persuite he decided to hide on earth.

The Master landed on earth in the 20th Century where his TARDIS took the form of a Police Box. The Master remembering That The Doctor was known on the earth decided to pose as a future incarnation of The Doctor and broke the chameleon Circut on his TARDIS which caused it to remain stuck in the form of a Police Box.

Confrontations with Leftover

The Master traveled into the future and arrived in Los Angeles in 2005. Upon leaving his TARDIS he was greeted by the Leftover team who believed him to be The Doctor. The Master claimed that he was a future incarnation of The Doctor and gained their trust, he however began to arouse their suspicions by claiming that humans are weak and by saying that the ends justified the needs. He was eventually found out by Sarah Jane Smith and Jo Jones, But was confused and amazed that they long with Melanie Bush knew who he was, he however decided to brush this off.

The Master then attempted to seize power by attempting to assasssainate the President Of the United States, his plans were thwarted by Katie and the rest of Leftover and he was arrested by UNIT and taken to the Vault underneath the Statue of Libertey.

Some time later while in the Vault The Master was interrogated by UNIT Officers Ruth Matheson and Charlie Sato. However he managed to hypnotise them and escape his imprisonment. Discovering that UNIT had his TARDIS, he used it to escape and repaired the Chameleon Circut.

However when he attempted to leave for Gallifrey, The Master discovered that UNIT had found a way in and tampered with the dematerialisation Circut so that it could only travel on earth, meaning that he was stuck on earth. The Master went into hiding and tried to repair the fault, however Leftover with help from UNIT tracked him down and attempted to kill him. However The Rogue arrive and The Master was taken into his TARDIS.
