What is this wiki?

What if Doctor Who Wasn't Axed? is a YouTube series, which followed an alternate history, whereby the BBC did not axe Doctor Who in 1989, and instead the show continued on into the 1990s and beyond. The series used the events of the shows a previous season, to figure out what the next season will be like, and so on, creating a rich and detailed alternate timeline.

This wiki acts as an alternate encyclopedia for this version of Doctor Who, including information that would exist in that universe - everything from 1963-1989, that happened in our universe, happens in the WIDWWA (What If Doctor Who Wasn't Axed) universe, and then everything from 1990 until the present day that DaDoctorWhoFan covers in his series.

Today is the 5 July 2024 and in the WIDWWA series it is 5 November 2022.

This means that the current Doctor is the Sixteenth Doctor, played by Ace Bhatti and the current companion is Viv Kalanak, played by Jaye Griffiths.

The current season is Season 56 and the current showrunner is David Renwick.
