Raina Kerenskaya was a Soviet lieutenant from Kiev in 1967. She was the mother of Katie Tollinger. She was pregnant with Markus Tollinger's child and attempted to tell him this but both were distracted by the mission to steal artefacts, including an Ice Lord's helmet from the Kremlin. She met the Seventh Doctor and Ace and learned of Hhessh's involvement in the mission. She conveyed the plan to the others and the next day informed Ace of her pregnancy.
After retrieving the helmet Raina and the group were taken aboard the Ice Warriors ship when she went into labour, during which she was taken over by the Ice Lord Seyzhr after putting his helmet on. She was later freed when Ace destroyed Seyzhr's helmet. She then left with Markus and their new baby daughter whom she named Katie. (DW: Ice Time)
She later married Markus, but the marriage soon fell apart. She later died from unknown causes. (DW: Crime of the Century)
