Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust was the fourth story of Season 36 of Doctor Who. It was written by David Renwick, directed by David Tucker and featured Paul McGann as the Doctor and Laurie Holden as Sammy Thompson.
Synopsis
While having an adventure during Soviet Russia, the Doctor and Sammy stumble upon a very familiar-looking woman. A woman who went by the name of Katie Tollinger.
She explains that an alien race, the Mitahi, reanimated her after her death. The Mitahi reproduce by altering the DNA of dead individuals, bringing them back to life.
Katie escaped from them six years ago and has spent the rest of the time looking for the Doctor.
