What if Doctor Who Wasn't Axed?

What if Doctor Who Wasn't Axed?:Point of view

Unlike Wikipedia we write our articles from two different perspectives.

We have two types of article: those about narrative elements — like characters, weapons and species — and those about production elements — actors, directors and stories. Each type requires a particular approach.

    WIDWWA In-Universe Real World

These articles are written from a real-world perspective as if you were in the real WIDWWA alternate universe, where for example Stephen Garwood became producer and Panopticon existed as a show.

If you're writing about an actor, director or bit of behind-the-scenes terminology — write in a simple, journalistic style, as you would find in a newspaper, obituary or encyclopaedia entry.

You should also write in this style if you are writing the "Behind the Scenes" section of a page.

    DWU Canon

Articles marked as "DWU Canon", DWU meaning Doctor Who Universe, are writting from an In-Doctor Who- Universe perspective, so within the show. They are written as if the topic were real, but one that no longer exists. For this reason, they are written in the past tense.

Examples of DWU Canon articles are Thirteenth Doctor, Lizzie Clarke and Will Adams. Note that even if the subject exists in the real world, like Robert Walpole, we still primarily write about it in an in-universe way. Doing so allows us to stress the importance of Robert Walpole to the DWU. When we do so, we discover that the DWU has different characteristics to the real world.
