What if Doctor Who Wasn't Axed?

    Lord President of Gallifrey (episode)

The following article is written from an Out of Universe perspective.

Lord President of Gallifrey was the first episode of Season 41 of Doctor Who and the "Gallifrey Arc". It was written by Russell T Davies, directed by Nicholas Meyer and featured Anthony Head as the Doctor and Derek Jacobi as the Rogue.

It is notable for being the first television story for the Eleventh Doctor.

    Synopsis

The Doctor is now President of Gallifrey. The people of Gallifrey, however, are not fond of the Doctor and do not like the fact that he wasn’t elected. The Doctor also doesn’t want to be President but learns that he has no choice in the matter. With his enemy, the Rogue, as his deputy, the Doctor must now deal with Gallifrey’s many problems from policy on timeline interference to the treatment of the outsiders to dealing with his own parliament. However, a new threat looms of Gallifrey: one the Doctor doesn’t see until it’s too late.
