    Richard Holthouse is an English Director who directed the Doctor Who stories Trial by Fire and The Reckoning of Shadows.

    Biography

    Prior to Doctor Who

    Richard Holthouse's first job in television was as a Cinimatographer on the 1980 documentary The Great British Striptease. Soon after this he became a Director, directing one episode of Can We Get On Now, Please?

    Holthouse went on to direct episodes of various TV shows, most notably, Coronation Street (1979-1990), and Taggart (1993-1998).

    Work on Doctor Who

    Holthouse was brought on to direct the Season 33 story Trial by Fire, he returned to direct the first story in Season 34.

    After Doctor Who

    Holthouse continued his career as a Director, directing one episode of The Knock and various episodes of London's Burning (2002), Casualty (2002-2003), Ultimate Force (2003-2006), and Midsomer Murders (2004-2011).
