    Reaction

    • This episode received a 7-Day Viewing Figure from BARB of 8.28m viewers. It ranked at 14th over the week.

    Story Notes

    • Sound effects matching the door opening and closing sounds from the first two games in the popular Doom series are occasionally used, especially noticeable when Toby goes searching for the "voices" distracting him from his archaeological findings.
    • The Beast intends to make war on God, seemingly referring to the Christian God. While there have been many Gods depicted in the franchise’s history, it has mostly shied away from talking about contemporary religions, and generally assumes them to be wrong.
    • This episode begins with a title card that reads 'In Loving Memory of Barry Letts; Doctor Who Producer 1970-1974; Co-Creator of Leftover; 1925-2009' following his death that week.
