    The following article is written from an Out of Universe perspective.

    The New Empire was a serial consisting of the eleventh and twelfth episodes of Season 52 of Doctor Who. It was written by Jane Espenson, directed by Rachel Talalay and featured Adjoa Andoh as the Fifteenth Doctor, Daniel Adegboyega as Pete Fletcher, Shelley King as Sally Brennen and Jane Wymark as Annie Downes.

     Synopsis 

    Abducted by the Pirate Collective, the Doctor is sold to the highest bidder at a slave market. Finding herself in the ownership of the Master, the Doctor finds herself coming face to face, once more, with her oldest foes.
