The 3453 Gallifreyan Presidential Election (in the calendar as used by the Alliance of Planets) took place on the 20 May 3453. Voters turned out to elect the Lord President and the Vice President of Gallifrey, in conjunction with a Panopticon Election, at the same time.

Lord President Rogue, had been forced to resign in 3452, after the previous president, Gregori, was found, after vanishing in office, who claimed legitimacy to the thrown. As part of this deal, it was agreed, and already due, election would be held the following year, with the main two candidates being the Rogue and Gregori, while Gregori himself took the office of Lord President in the time in between.

Nominations

Cerulean Chapter

Gregori, Lord President of Gallifrey for two consecuative terms before his mysterious dissaperance many years prior. In 3452, he returned to Gallifrey and claimed the prescendency, serving the remainder of the 20-year term beginning in 3433.

Due to the nature of the election evocted, no other candiaties fought for the Cerulean nomination, as Gregori was granted this automatically as stated in the The Worshipful and Ancient Law of Gallifrey.

Prydonian Chatper

The Rogue, Lord President of Gallifrey between 3449 and 3452, won the nomination of the Prydonian Chapter. He was met with very little opposition as most within the chapter believed that he was the rightful Lord President.

Civlo, a Panopticon Represenative, stood for but ultimately lost, the nomination. The Rogue won with 87% of the vote, and apart from Civlo, there was little remaining opposition.
