The TARDIS alerted the Doktor to a time distortion in Warsaw, that was in 1871 as well as in 2021. While Pola was sent to her time to investigate, the Doktor traveled to 1871, only to discover that she'd become trapped in a paradox connecting both time periods. After some investigating, the Doktor discovered that the Zygon engineer Andrzej had created the paradox using a machine that would eventually create a time loop, forcing the people of Earth to relive the 20th century and the 21st, up until Midnight on Christmas Day, when Pola's young cousin Krystian would commit suicide, thus causing the loop to start all over again, due to him co-existing in both time periods.

The Doktor and Pola found Krystian on the roof of the local church, and eventually talked him out of jumping, finally ending the time distortion. Krystian led the two to where the paradox machine was, eventually destroying it, and forcing Andrzej and the remaining Zygons to flee. The TARDIS returned, which allowed the Doktor, Pola and Krystian to return to 2021. (POL: Eve)

The following article is written from an In Universe perspective.

The Doktor was the second known incarnation of an alternate universe's version of the Time Lord known as The Doctor, created by the Toymaker.

    Biography

    Post-regeneration

The death of Doktor I took place after the radiation from the Great One's lair caused severe damage to his body. He returned to Earth to end his time in the company of Pola Pisarek and Colonel Lubicz-Stugocki. K'anpo Rimpoche soon arrived and kick started with the regeneration. (POL: All Praise to the Great One)

The new Doktor and Pola were soon reunited with Atlos and Sabita, who had come to Earth in order to warn them about an impending invasion by a race known as the Cybermen. When the pilots of Zeus IV discovered a new planet between Mars and Venus, the Doktor, having predicted this, tried to convince the crew that Earth had a twin planet millions of years ago called Mondas, but before she could think of a plan, Irena arrived with a taskforce to arrest her. However, a Cyber-invasion fleet arrived and wiped out Irena's taskforce.

The Doktor, Pola, Irena, Atlos, Sabita and JEDNOSTKA confronted the Cybermen when they intended to conquer Earth and convert all humans into Cybermen, due to their home planet dying from years of experiments, but her attempt at negotiation resulted in her and Pola being taken hostage aboard the Cyber-ship. The Doktor soon escaped with Pola before trapping the Cybermen on Mondas, which was soon destroyed. Afterwards, Irena decided to let the Doktor go, pretending that she failed to capture her. The Doktor and Pola departed in the TARDIS. (POL: The Fall of Mondas)

    Time paradox at Christmas

(POL: Eve)
