What if Doctor Who Wasn't Axed?
The following article is written from an In Universe perspective.

Horretz was a soap-opera that was broadcast every weekday, on The Wave by the Scallatti on Taoter III. It was about the every-day Cizzauran villagers of a fictionalised version of the Horretz village. It had an intense rivalry with SWN's soap-opera Harrdebhr City. (ELYM: Knife of the Past et al.) Upon its initial release, Horretz was very popular with viewers, getting strong ratings. (ELYM: The Ratings War)

    Behind the Scenes

According to Toni Graphia, Horretz was based upon the very down-to-earth and kitchen-sink British soap-operas, such as EastEnders and Coronation Street, to show how the Wave offered more relatable programming for audiences than SWN, which uses a very upper-class and American concept for it's soap.
