The Reckoning of Shadows was the first story of Season 34 of Doctor Who. It was written by Steven Moffat, directed by Richard Holthouse and featured Paul McGann as the Doctor and Rakie Ayola as Janet Wells.
Synopsis
The Doctor takes Janet to the largest library in the known universe. They find it empty of human life, but with countless other living beings. When an archaeological expedition arrives in the library, fronted by the Doctor’s old friend, Bernice Summerfield, but before she ever knew him, they find themselves enthralled in a conspiracy which has quite literally saved thousands.
