The 3453 Alliance of Planets General Election was held on 21 January 3453 and was the first election for the newly formed Alliance of Planets, two-years earlier (which was running on a provisional government).
Parties
The parties making up the election were comprised of several chapters from among the Alliance's member worlds, acting in alliances.
Although the parties in the parliament of the Gallifreyan Union had worked in the same way, all of them, but the Communist Party, had disassembled and regrouped in different parties in the intervening years.
The chapters from Gallifrey were in the following alliances:
- Prydonian & Patrex Chapter - Progressive Alliance
- Cerulean Chapter - Alliance for Change
- Scendeles, Dromeian & Arcalian Chapter - Alliancesceptic Party
