Biography
Prior to Doctor Who
Dominic Glynn was born on the 27th September, 1960.
Work on Doctor Who
Glynn was brought on to compose a new arrangement of the Doctor Who theme for Season 23. He also composed incidental music for the first four episodes and the last two episodes of The Trial of a Time Lord for the season. He went on to do the incidental music for many Doctor Who stories afterwards with his last regular contribution being Past Imperfect in Season 34.
Ahead of Michael French's debut as the Doctor in 1996, producer Stephen Garwood asked Glynn to use the 'Terror Version' of the theme that he produced in 1989 as part of the 'Variations on a Theme' album, but adapt it to include orchestral elements to suit the change in incidental music style transition the show was going for at the time. This theme was used for two seasons in seasons 33 and 34.
After Doctor Who
Glynn went on to work on many TV shows and movies, including Red Dwarf, Forsaken and A Dangerous Game.
