Pola was named after actress Pola Raksa, star of classic Polish TV show "Czterej Pancerni i Pies". Benek Jackiewicz, as a fan of the show, found it 'wicked', but Pola herself isn't too proud of this, as she sees her name as 'outdated' and 'boomer-ish'. (POL:The Third Dimension)
