The Scream was the eighth and final episode of Season 44 of Doctor Who. It was written by Paul Cornell, directed by Colin Teague and featured Paterson Joseph as the Twelfth Doctor, Jacqueline Pearce as Angela Jensen, and introduced Sophie Okonedo as Lizzie Clarke.

Synopsis

The Doctor lands the TARDIS in the village of Lannet in Lancashire after following the Shalka that kidnapped Angela there. The Doctor finds the village silent. Its inhabitants are all living in fear except for a barmaid, Lizzie Clarke. The Shalka have taken up residence beneath Lannet in preparation for a wider invasion. The Doctor aided by Lizzie must find Angela and in turn save the world of a full-scale invasion.
