In [[2004]] Winifred met both the [[Ninth Doctor]] and [[Janet Wells]] and asked for their help in investigating the disappearance of [[Marc Marshall|a teenager]] and a Policewoman who kept drawing cave paintings on the wall after she had went to investigate the boy's disappearance. When both the Doctor and Janet had disappeared, Bambera brought troops with her to [[Smallmarshes]] in [[Kent]], where a [[Silurians|Silurian]] was seen, to find them. Later, after returning to HQ, Bambera received a report that the Doctor, a Silurian, and the missing teenager Marc Marshall had been taken aboard a stealth plane. A group of UNIT troops led by Bambera followed the aircraft to [[the Vault]] in [[Northumberland]].
