    Michael French (born Michael Clark, 17 September 1962) is an English actor who played the Ninth Doctor between 1996 and 2000. Before holding the keys to the TARDIS, French was best known for his role as David Wicks on EastEnders and he'd later establish himself as Tom Gilder in Born and Bred, and as a result of his work on Doctor Who, he had a successful film career.
