Season Twenty-Seven featured the return of Angela Bruce as Brigadier Bambera, and the final Season for Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor. Season 27 of Doctor Who premiered in the Autumn of 1990, and ran from September until December.
The season was the final season for both Sylvester McCoy and Sophie Aldred, and introduced, not just, new companions, Katie Tollinger (Julia Sawalha) and Henrick (John Banks), but also, the Eighth Doctor, Richard Griffiths, in the final moments of its last episode.
Stephen Garwood and Ben Aaronovitch, took over control of the series, as Producer and Script editor respectively.
