What if Doctor Who Wasn't Axed?

The following article is written from an Out of Universe perspective.

Series 4 of Panopticon aired between March 2011 and May 2011.

This was the first series of Panopticon to feature Ronald D. Moore as the showrunner. This was also the last series of Panopticon to feature Timothy Dalton's Rogue as the main character of Panopticon.

    Overview

    Creative Changes

Due to Caprica being cancelled. Ronald D. Moore was able to come on as the full time showrunner and an Executive Producer, Ira Steven Behr (who was Acting-Showrunner) last season, remained as an Executive Producer alongside Gary Russell and Faith Penhale who would both be Executive Producers.

With Moore now in charge, He changed up the writers room. He changed the Co-Executive Producers, he also brought on a Chief Staff Writer, Who would essentially be a Co-Showrunner with Moore. But they would be credited as a Co-Executive Producer. Moore had chosen Jane Espenson to fulfill this position. Moore had also brought on David Weddle, Bradley Thompson, and Michael Angeli as the other Co-Executive Producers.

Joining them as Consulting Producers would be Martin Campbell, Tony Redston, Nicholas Meyer, and Marc Platt who all would be guidance to Moore mainly over the portrayal of Gallifrey.

    Cast Changes

Moore had decided to overhaul the cast, The Rogue would remain as the main character. But, He would be the co-lead with Gregori in which both of them were portrayed as anti-heroes, Will Adams would remain as a pivotal character due to him being a human and the character the audience would identify with the most, Kendara was put into a higher place as she filled the gap left by Leela who had died in the previous series' finale. Cordale would remain an important character in the series even though she was mostly restrained to one place in the series, Fassile would become a main character in this series due to him being Gregori's Running Mate in the Election, And Ohila would round off the main cast as she was Will's surrogate mother.

    Title Sequence Changes

One of the things Moore had ordered for his era of the show, Was for there to be a new title sequence and theme arrangement to reflect the darker nature of the show, The theme tune arrangement was made by new composer, Bear McCreary and the titles were made by Peter Anderson Studios.
